Executive Ministers

Rev. Dr. Averell U. Aragon

Dr. Aragon, 53, is presently the Academic Dean of Alliance Graduate School (AGS) in Quezon City, Philippines. He is the concurrent National Executive Minister for the Division of General and Theological Education (NEM-DGTE) of the Christian & Missionary Alliance Churches of the Philippines (CAMACOP). He is also the President of the Philippine Alliance College of Theology PACT). He also served as the Director for Innovative Programs and Public Affairs of AGS, in charge of its off-campus programs, for two years. In addition to his management responsibilities at the seminary, he also teaches theology, ethics, and church history.

Before he joined the theological faculty of AGS in 1999, he helped establish the Christian Heights Alliance Fellowship in Davao City in 1992 and became its Founding Pastor. In 2000, he also helped establish the Almar Christian Gospel Church in Caloocan City and continues to serve as consultant of the church.

He finished his Bachelor of Theology (BTh) from Ebenezer Bible College in Zamboanga City in 1982; received his Master of Divinity (MDiv) from AGS in 1997; earned his Master of Theology (ThM) from Asia Graduate School of Theology-Philippines in 1999; awarded an honorary Doctor of Divinity (DD) by the Triune Biblical University in Kelso, Washington, USA in 2005; and is a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) candidate.

He has co-authored two books, namely, A Century of Bible Christians in the Philippines (OMF, 1998) and Chapters in Philippine Church History (OMF, 2001).

Abing, as he is fondly called by family and friends, is married to Susan Apostol dela Rosa, 50. Susan has just retired from government service. For over 15 years she worked as news reporter and editor at the Philippine Broadcasting Services. She now works as a "screener" in a BPO. They celebrated their Silver Wedding Anniversary in 2007. They have two young adult daughters, Candice, 26, and Kristen, 22. Candice holds a BA in tourism from La Consolacion College and presently works with Aerotel in Makati; Kristen finished her BA in mass communication at Trinity University of Asia graduating magna cum laude, and now works as "sound engineer" at Roadrunner, an ABS-CBN-affiliated company. Through the years, the LORD has been very good to the Aragon family.

To God alone be the glory!
