Pastoral Care at NELD

Sixteen workers, including two visiting pastors from Kalinga, received for their respective families clothing, groceries, chocolates, personal grooming items, and Nestea juice products last December 29 courtesy of the Pastoral Care Ministry of CAMACOP and a local church member. The affair was held at the Christian Alliance Church in Mallig, Isabela and was led by Mrs. Merlie Corpuz, wife of Rev. Jun Corpuz, the Northeastern Luzon District supervisor.

Mrs. Corpuz received funds for the gift items from Mrs. Annie Nebab, National Director for the Pastoral Care Ministry of CAMACOP, and three sacks of clothing from one church member of Santiago Alliance Church, Santiago, Isabela.

The occasion was part of the Christmas party for the district workers. Many who attended and received the gifts were very glad, expressing appreciation that they were remembered by our denominational leaders. The Christmas season became more meaningful to them, they said.

Giving of assistance to CAMACOP workers is done through the leadership of the national Pastoral Care Center office in the denominational headquarters in Pasig City, Metro Manila. The national director, Mrs. Nebab, networks with generous brothers and sisters in the faith who give and share their resources to bless pastors and their families, especially in times of calamity and need. NELD is one district of the many districts blessed by this project. Others throughout the whole country are also given this assistance.

During the Christmas party, Pastor James Tayas and Rev. Sabelo Dumbab of Kalinga were visiting the district. As precious co-workers in the Lord, they were also given items to bring home to their families.
