Bishop Nebab and Aux. Bishop Cajes get second term; new NBOT members
May 11, 2009
Getting a clear approval of his leadership and programs for CAMACOP, Bishop Reniel Joel A. Nebab was reelected President of CAMACOP by the delegates of the 50th General Assembly of the denomination last April 25, 2009 at Crown Regency Suites in Lapu-lapu City, in the middle portion of the Philippines. Garnering a good majority of the votes, Bishop Nebab won over two other candidates to the highest executive position. The two other candidates were Dr. Jose DC Dalino and Dr. Rogelio V. Dubrico. Dr. Dalino was the President of CAMACOP in 2001-2005, CAMACOP's itinerant international evangelist, and faculty member of Alliance Graduate School in its Innovative Studies program, while Dr. Dubrico was the Church Planting Director of CAMACOP and a pioneer of many CAMACOP churches in the Visayas region.
In his acceptance of the victory the day after the votes were canvassed, Bishop Nebab acknowledged that the second four-year term is gift from God through the trust on him from the delegates of the assembly. He said that it is only by God’s grace that he is taking this great responsibility of continuously growing the denomination under his and his team’s care. He expressed his gratitude to all delegates and asked all of them to pray for him, his family, and his other co- workers so that the denomination can continue to grow.
Related to this, Auxiliary Bishop Eduardo C. Cajes also won a second four- year term as Vice- President of the denomination. Nobody challenged him for the position. The newly-elected members of the National Board of Trustees are Rev. Primo Matab and Rev. Efraim Tardo (ordained ministers), and Col. Roger Mijares, and Ms. Shirley Ordillo (lay members). Rev. Samuel Villaruel (ordained), Atty. Jordan Reyes and Mr. Al Chiong (lay) were also reelected as members of the NBOT.
