May 14, 2009
Fifty-four ministers were ordained during the 50th CAMACOP General Assembly held in Crown Regency Suites, Lapu-lapu City, Cebu. This after Rev. Benedicto Barnuevo, chairman of the Ordination Committee, together with his committee, approved the names of the said candidates after all of them passed the written and oral examinations required for ordination.
Previous to the general assembly, the aspirants also went through another level of examinations in their respective districts during the district forums usually held in the first months of the year. Fifty- two of the newly ordained ministers came from 20 established districts while two were missionaries to Japan. The names of those ordained are as follows:

Among the requirements in order to be ordained are character issues and the candidates' understanding of their "calling" from God. Good moral standing in the denomination is basic. A clear call from God into the ministry is also required.
Other issues like Bible school preparation, competence, people skills, and sound personal practices like management of finances and discipline were also included.
CAMACOP continues to search for called men and women into the ministry. It realizes that the growth of the Society depends on the dependability of its leaders.
Ordination also happens only during the bi-annual general assembly, the general assembly being the ordaining body of the denomination, except for instances when ordination of certain individuals are of extreme necessity and expediency during which the Board of Trustees of CAMACOP takes a necessary action.
