MAABC celebrates Golden anniversary
November 12, 2009

Mount Apo Alliance Bible College

The weather seemed to have agreed with the aura of the celebration. It was not the usual cold weather at the foot of Mt. Apo, but warm, reflecting the warmth that one gets mixing with the celebrating throng.

Mt. Apo Alliance Bible College celebrated its 50th foundation anniversary last October 21- 23 with the Bishop, and two former presidents as main speakers. Bishop Reniel Joel A. Nebab spoke on the opening night, while Division of Finances and Stewardship National Executive Minister Rev. Joseph Reyes, and Rev. Ira Lee Rosalita spoke on the succeeding days.

There have been many improvements on the campus of MAABC over the years, but it seems the recent years were witnesses to the unusual excellent presidency of Rev. Efraim Tardo and the leadership of the other members of its Board of Trustees. A new ladies’ dormitory is under construction, a Toyota Hiace (Grandia model) has been purchased for the official use of the school, a new music hall and a larger social hall have also been built, and a robust 160 students compose the student body, attesting to the dynamic and relevant theological education that the college provides. One of the highest in comparison to other CAMACOP Bible schools to date.

The theme of the celebration is “Fifty Years of God’s Sufficiency”. This was explained in so many beautiful but simple words and instances by the three speakers. The provisions to the school and to the faithful students. The protection throughout the years. The success in ministry of its graduates. The challenges of the future. All these attest to God’s presence and guidance for the whole school. [top]

The anniversary was also a grand homecoming for the school’s alumni. Many of them came, and blessed the school and were blessed by the school in the process.

Long live MAABC! May your light continue to shine in the lives of many!
